مادة ABS مخصصة للمشاريع الهندسة والقوية، ولكنها تحتاج إلى ظروف طباعة خاصة جداً مقارنة بالـ PLA:

  • تحتاج طابعة مغلقة (Enclosure): هذه المادة تتقلص وتلتوي (Warping) بسرعة إذا تعرضت لأي تيار هواء بارد أثناء الطباعة، لذلك يجب طباعتها داخل غرفة مغلقة وبسرير ساخن جداً (90 إلى 110 درجة مئوية).

  • التهوية: تصدر المادة رائحة بلاستيك قوية وأبخرة أثناء انصهارها، لذا يُنصح بالطباعة في مكان جيد التهوية أو استخدام طابعة بفلتر هواء (كربون نشط).
